Robert de Wit aka Genius started his music career back in 1996, building up his reputation in the old school and hardcore scene.

After performances at legendary events like Back 2 School, Decibel Outdoor and Hard Bass, Genius discovered his love for freestyle.

Quickly developing his own unique sound and mixing style within the freestyle genre since 2013, Genius’ star has been rising ever since.

After several releases on Basic Movements, POW and Foolish Records, he soon got noticed by the well-known Pussy Lounge label.

His releases ‘How We Do’ and ‘Party Don’t Stop’ (with LXCPR) were released on Pussy Lounge Music. Both tracks have been massive bangers within the freestyle scene and reached over 500.000 plays on platforms like Spotify and Deezer. In 2020 the massive follow up release on ROQ ‘N Rolla Music, ‘Pull Up’ (with Alee) crushed all the streaming records and reached more than 2 million in streaming numbers.
At the moment Genius is working on new banging music in the studio, best believe he will continue to deliver smashing floor fillers.

Performance-wise, Genius is known for being an energetic and diverse guy on stage, bringing joy to every crowd he has played in front of.

With multiple sets at events like Defqon1, Pussy Lounge, Mystery Land, Decibel Outdoor, Intents Festival, Emporium, Harmony of Hardcore and former resident of some of Holland’s most legendary clubs like Ministry of Dance, Hardbeat and Zino, it’s safe to say: Genius is a force to be reckoned with behind the decks!
